Health, Safety and Environment Management

GENERAL HSE (Level 1 & 2) Course
The course will equip participants with general safety (HSE) knowledge and certify them as HSE competent. HSE certification is essential for all workers and provides additional skill and competence to individuals within an organization

What you need to know about HSE
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is a general term for regulations, methods and processes designed to help protect workers, the environment and the public from harm. The methods and processes in HSE are learned through training and re-training of those exposed to hazards. The Factories Act of 1987 and the cap 126 in 1990 and the factories act of 2004 by the Federal Government of Nigeria makes it compulsory for employers to provide a safe workplace for their employees. A safe work environment – without hazards and accidents – can be achieved through effective implementation of company-wide health and safety (HSE) management system. Thus training and re-training personnel on the global best practice in health and safety cannot be ignored.

Why should I register for HSE training
There is need for workers to be aware of safe work procedures, the hazards that may be encountered, and the steps required to safely perform the job, according to the health and safety at work act, HASAWA. The general HSE training (level 1&2) course will empower participants to identify and control hazards in the work place as well as taking proactive steps to remain safe on and off the job.
